Overview

With just a year to go before the world's athletes assemble in Rio de Janeiro for the first Olympic Games ever held in South America, Council of the Americas will host a panel discussion assessing the implications of the upcoming games on Brazil.

What did Brazil learn from hosting the World Cup that can be adapted for the Olympics? How are the preparations evolving at the Olympic venues? What is the potential value and long term development impact on Brazil’s economy, infrastructure and population? Our diverse and expert group of panelists explore these issues and others in the lead up to the summer games.
