Admission: Free for AS members, $10 for non-members.

As a part of programming for the Within the Light Trap: Carlos Cruz-Diez in Black and White exhibition, photography historian Iliana Cepero-Amador and Chief Curator Gabriela Rangel will position Cruz-Diez's photographic work within the modernist and documentary photographic trends developed in Latin America during the 1940s and 50s. The talk will also address Cruz-Diez's ethnographic series as a precursor to recurrent themes in post-modern Latin American photography in the 1980s.
