Join AS/COA for a discussion with the director of the Western Hemisphere Department at the International Monetary Fund.
Overview
(Video starts at 4:33)
AS/COA will host a discussion on Latin America's economic outlook with Alejandro Werner, director of the Western Hemisphere Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). With external factors such as low oil prices, the slowdown of the Chinese economy, higher interest rates, and political upheaval in the region, the forecast for Latin America in 2016 remains uncertain. Werner will discuss the challenges and opportunities for economic growth in the hemisphere amid such unknowns.
Speakers:
- Alejandro Werner, Director, Western Hemisphere Department, International Monetary Fund
- Jimena Zuniga, Latin America Economist, Bloomberg Intelligence (Moderator)
