Americas Society/Council of the Americas to Host Conference on Chile’s Economic and Political Outlook

Chile's Minister of Finance Felipe Larraín and top international executives will convene in Santiago to discuss opportunities and challenges for growth and investment in the country.

New York, July 31, 2018—  Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA), the most influential business organization in the Western Hemisphere, will host its conference “Perspectives on Chile: Reforms, the Economy, and the New Administration” on Thursday, August 9th at 9:00 a.m. at the Sheraton Santiago Hotel & Convention Center.  The event, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, will bring together Minister Felipe Larraín as well as private sector leaders and foreign investors. At AS/COA’s thirteenth annual conference in Santiago, panelists will discuss the challenges and opportunities for growth and investment in key industries in Chile, as well as the ongoing efforts to bring about gender equality in the country. The conference will be live webcast

Founded in 1965, AS/COA organizes more than 250 public policy programs every year in New York, Miami, Washington DC, and in cities throughout Latin America. The conference “Perspectives on Chile: Reforms, the Economy, and the New Administration” is part of the organization’s Latin American Cities Conferences, half-day events featuring top-level speakers across key cities in the region.
