It is with great sadness that Americas Society shares news of the passing of Pola Schijman. A Chilean and long-time New Yorker, Pola worked at the organization for more than 36 years and served as senior director of special events for the organization.
“Pola loved and was dedicated to the Americas Society, and she could recount moments of our history which very few could remember,” said Americas Society and Council of the Americas President and CEO Susan Segal. “It is comforting to know that she lived a full and wonderful life and will always be remembered with enormous joy for all that she brought to the Americas Society, her friends, and, of course, her wonderful family.”
Americas Society offers its sincerest condolences to Pola's family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center.
