Jorge Haro is back with "Collector," a song that lets the audience in on his creative process and setup.

En Casa: Dúo TRoneitor

Wednesday, March 19, 10 am

Dúo TRoneitor was founded in 2018 by Natalia Cappa and Lucas Werenkraut, musicians from Buenos Aires with extensive professional experience in contemporary opera as well as twentieth and twenty-first century classical music. Their work is based on the TRoneitor, an analog synthesizer built by Werenkraut entirely from electronic waste collected on the street, in conjunction with the vocal research that soprano Natalia Cappa has been developing for years. They have given concerts and lectures and participated in international festivals in Colombia, Germany, Argentina, Mexico, and Spain. Their album Qué Ruido es Ese?, published by the Strasbourg-based ElektraMusic label, is available on all platforms.

They sent us two pieces. Today we share "MiBSKRD," which is based on Carlos Gardel's famous tango "Mi Buenos Aires Querido." The duo creates works based on improvisations, where the pre-existing materials dissolve and give birth to new music that resonates with the musicians. The musicians dialogue with the TRoneitor synthesizer in a sonic framework that attempts to give new life to discarded cables and circuits, making us reflect on our consumption and waste habits as inhabitants of a planet with finite resources.

En Casa: Ana Foutel

Friday, March 21, 10 am

Ana Foutel is an Argentine pianist, composer, and performer. After developing a repertoire of twentieth and twenty-first century music from Argentina and the world, she dedicated her practice to improvisation. She has collaborated with several composers and instrumentalists and is currently working on a composition project based on five electroacoustic works by five contemporary Argentine composers.

From Buenos Aires, she sent us two piano pieces. Today we share "Estopa."
