Music of the Americas: Fall 2024 Concerts

See the schedule for online and in-person concerts in October and November, featuring traditional and contemporary music.

The 2024–2025 season of the MetLife Foundation Music of the Americas Concert Series will take place live in New York City and online. Concerts include traditional music with La Charo and Coro Acardenchado, new music at two evenings of the Momenta Quartet Festival, and a recital by Mexican flutist Alejandro Escuer.

Registration is now open for Americas Society members. Tickets for the general public will be available a month before each concert. Find more information here

The annual Momenta Festival returns to Music of the Americas for two nights celebrating its twentieth anniversary.

Mexican flutist-composer Alejandro Escuer is back on our stage with a program of avant-garde music for flute and electronics.

Coro Acardenchado

November 23, 7 pm

Coro Acardenchado is a choral music project founded by Juan Pablo Villa in 2016. The project seeks to preserve and disseminate the canto cardenche style through community singing. The ensemble was founded and is directed by Juan Pablo Villa, in collaboration with María Emilia Martínez and Leika Mochán.
