Roberta S. Jacobson, Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs at AS/COA

AS/COA will host Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Roberta S. Jacobson at a public breakfast presentation on December 11. 

New York, November 26, 2012 - Americas Society and Council of the Americas will host Roberta S. Jacobson, assistant secretary of state for Western Hemisphere Affairs at the U.S. Department of State on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Assistant Secretary Jacobson will provide an overview of U.S. policy toward the Western Hemisphere including current priorities and initiatives.

Roberta S. Jacobson was sworn in as Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs on March 30, 2012. Previously Ms. Jacobson was the Acting Assistant Secretary since July 18, 2011. She served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs from December 2010 until July 2011, with responsibility for regional political and economic issues, management and personnel, and regional security issues.
