The October 27 vote includes a close presidential race and a controversial plebiscite.

Uruguayans will go to the polls on October 27 to vote for their next president and representatives in both houses of Congress and cast ballots on two plebiscites to reform the constitution. The leading candidates in the presidential race are former intendant of Canelones department Yamandú Orsi, of the opposition left-wing Frente Amplio, and former chief of Cabinet to President Lacalle Pou, Álvaro Delgado, of the governing center-right Partido Nacional.
