Join us for the fall 2019 Music of the Americas season!

Americas Society choir Meridionalis, led by Sebastián Zubieta, has released its first album, which features works by the Argentine composer that include madrigals, chant, and one “anti-carol” on the release by Naxos.

This spring's events touch Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, and Venezuela, exploring early music to big band to chamber opera.

Music of the Americas opens 2017 with folkloric music from Argentina fused with música popular brasileira, violin music from the Americas, Haitian virtuoso vocals, Cuban colonial music, a tribute to an Argentine songwriting legend, and a Cordóba-based festival bringing classical music to the local community.

In collaboration with the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón, Music of the Americas has been a platform for rising opera talent from Latin America.

We present Shakespeare songs to celebrate the quadricentennial of the bard's birth, as well as a portrait of eccentric Canadian composer Claude Vivier, and we celebrate Brazilian composer Felipe Lara with a portrait concert.
