2012 Latin American Cities Conferences: Bogota
AS/COA hosted its annual Bogota conference Thursday, June 14 to discuss investment in the country's surging economy, implementation of the U.S. trade accord, and the growing mining and hydrocarbons sector.
Overview
AS/COA hosted its sixteenth Bogota conference, “Colombia in the Eyes of Wall Street,” co-organized with ANIF and Fedesarrollo. As in past years, this conference analyzed Colombia’s growth prospects and discussed the country’s medium and long-term macroeconomic projections. Local and international speakers spoke about fiscal and monetary policy, capital markets, foreign trade, implementation of the U.S.-Colombia FTA, and infrastructure development related to energy and mining.
