2016 Latin American Cities Conferences: Bogotá
AS/COA will hold its annual conference in Bogotá, Colombia, on Thursday, June 9, 2016.
Overview
COLOMBIA IN THE EYES OF WALL STREET
Colombia’s economic performance remains solid despite the sharp drop in world oil prices, growing at a slower rate than in the recent past but still higher than in many emerging economies. The country is also in the middle of an unprecedented political moment, with the chance to put an end to a 50-year-old conflict. In this context, structural reforms and improvements to the macroeconomic framework will be essential for supporting growth and offsetting the headwinds from external conditions.
AS/COA's 20th conference in Bogotá, in partnership with Fedesarrollo and ANIF, will look at the country's economic and political forecasts, as well as its trade agenda, by bringing together Wall Street analysts and investors, key government officials, and representatives from different trading partners.
