Overview

Free for members; $10 for non-members. Registration closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 15.

In 2015, Idania del Río and Leire Fernández started Cuba’s first independent fashion label, Clandestina, which also became the first Cuban brand to launch an online store in 2017. AS/COA's Young Professionals of the Americas (YPA) invites you to come hear the entrepreneurial couple share their story launching a contemporary clothing line for young Cubans and their experience navigating a restrictive business environment. We'll also discuss the implications of Cuba's latest regulatory changes to the private sector that come into force December 1.

This intimate conversation will be hosted at Google's New York offices, and coffee and snacks will be provided. The discussion will be in English.

YPA is an international network that provides a platform for young professionals in their 20s and 30s to connect around the latest trends in the Americas through its New York City, Miami, and Washington, DC chapters. Not a member? Join YPA today and get complimentary access to this event.
