Competitiveness and Rule of Law in the Americas: Focus on Guatemala and the Upcoming ACF
AS/COA hosted a program with public and private sector perspectives on Guatemala, in advance of the upcoming Americas Competitiveness Forum (ACF), to be hosted in Guatemala City in November.
Overview
Guatemala is due to host the IX Americas Competitiveness Forum (ACF) from November 16 to 18, 2015, with the theme “Stonger Institutions = More Competitiveness.” The ACF unites government and business leaders to discuss methods to foster greater economic competitiveness and innovation in the Americas. This year’s agenda is focused on productivity growth, rule of law, entrepreneurship and innovation, and investment trends.
This breakfast conversation featured an update on the current economic and political scenario in Guatemala, strategies for improving the local business climate, and the government's ongoing commitment to strengthen government institutions. Presenters also shared an update on the agenda for the upcoming ACF and offered a discount for COA members.
