Overview

Council of the Americas will hold a private, off-the-record conversation on Chile’s economic outlook with Rodrigo Valdés, minister of finance of Chile.

President Michelle Bachelet appointed Valdés to his position in a cabinet reshuffle in May 2015. Previously, he was chairman of state-owned Banco del Estado, an economist at Barclays and BTG Pactual, and a deputy director at the International Monetary Fund.
