Overview

The healthcare system in Mexico is at a crossroads. President Enrique Peña Nieto has proposed reforms surrounding universal health care, unemployment insurance, and pensions. These changes will likely have a profound impact on the country’s Social Security Institute, IMSS, which has over 58 million beneficiaries and one of the largest medical budgets in Mexico. Please join Council of the Americas for a private, off-the-record breakfast discussion with Director General of IMSS Dr. José Antonio González Anaya.

He will discuss Mexico’s reforms and the future outlook of the IMSS and Mexico.
