Investment Opportunities in Mexico’s South-Southeast Region
The Council of the Americas hosted the Secretary of Economy of Mexico as she shared the development plan for the strategic Interoceanic Corridor project.
Overview
The Council of the Americas hosted an in-person program featuring the Secretary of Economy of Mexico Raquel Buenrostro and senior officials, in which they presented the tenders and incentives for the development hubs of the Interoceanic Corridor. This project will connect the Pacific and the Gulf coasts across the states of Veracruz and Oaxaca via an expanded freight rail line along with multiple industrial parks.
As shared by the Mexican delegation, the corridor aims to attract manufacturing investment and convert the Isthmus of Tehuantepec into a central hub for global trade while promoting economic development in the south-southeast region of the country.
