Magos Herrera and Monica Salmaso, two extraordinary singers who started collaborating virtually during the pandemic (including in this Music of the Americas video), join forces on our stage with their trios for a concert that highlights their beautiful voices. They'll be performing new versions of classics from the Latin American repertoire.
With one of the most expressive and beautiful voices in the contemporary Latin American jazz scene, the New York-based, Grammy-nominated, Mexican singer and composer Magos Herrera adds her eloquent, bold style in a way that effortlessly blends musical boundaries and helps shape this evening's repertoire with a fresh new lens.
Monica Salmaso, the leading singer in MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira) with her trio who have been advancing the genre for decades, contributes her unique expertise in the music of her country to this collaboration.
