Member Webex: Stimulus Efforts in Latin American Economies

AS/COA hosted an off-the-record virtual meeting featuring economists Eduardo Levy-Yeyati and Joaquim Levy, and Senator Vanessa Rubio, who each represented the region's largest economies (Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, respectively). The panelists gave an update on stimulus efforts from governments across the region and explored how and why they vary among countries. They also looked at what else officials might realistically do given political and economic realities to help attenuate a deep recession.
