Mexico: The Future of the USMCA
COA will hold a private consultation with a Sheinbaum administration official on the evolving North American trade and investment agenda.
Overview
Council of the Americas is pleased to host a private, members-only consultation on the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and early analysis of the 2026 review with Mexico’s newly-appointed Undersecretary of International Commerce Luis Rosendo Gutiérrez.
As the primary official designated by Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard on behalf of the new Sheinbaum administration to coordinate Mexico’s approach to USMCA, Rosendo will be a key interlocutor for the business community going forward. This meeting will be held under the auspices of the Council’s Trade Advisory Group as part of a robust agenda to promote regional trade and investment activities heading into the new year and the 2026 USMCA review. It will also be an opportunity to exchange views with the undersecretary on topics of greatest interest and concern for the U.S. business community.
