Mexico: Regulation of Data Privacy and Digital Commerce in the Framework of the T-MEC

This private, off-the-record round table created a space for dialogue between the public and private sectors to discuss data privacy policies and practices. The special speakers gave an overview of the INAI, its priorities and challenges regarding privacy, and protection of personal data both in Mexico and internationally, given that the Institute presides over the Global Privacy Assembly. Speakers also talked about digital commerce within the framework of the T-MEC. This program was held as part of the AS/COA Data Governance Working Group.
