Council of the Americas and FONPLATA will hold a discussion on the Southern Cone economies in 2018. Expert panelists will identify the economic prospects for the region this year and address how development challenges can be met through cooperation with organizations such as FONPLATA.
FONPLATA is a multilateral development organization made up of five countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. Its main goal is to support the economic integration of the member countries in order to achieve inclusive development within and across the River Plate Basin areas of influence, through credit operations and non-reimbursable resources, as a dynamic enabler of development in “forgotten areas” of the Southern Cone.
Speakers:
- Juan Notaro, Executive President, FONPLATA @JuanNotaro
- Germán Rojas, Ambassador of Paraguay to the U.S., and former minister of finance of Paraguay @mreparaguay
- Otaviano Canuto, Executive Director for Brazil, World Bank Group @ocanuto (Download his presentation)
