Overview

Please join the Council of the Americas for an off-the-record, in-person luncheon with Arturo Herrera, who recently joined the World Bank as global director for governance. Until 2021, Herrera served as the minister of finance and public credit of Mexico.

From leading the finance team during the presidential transition to his recent departure, Herrera was at the right hand of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador during a transformative period for Mexico and North America. His work at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit focused on strengthening the Mexican economy during the Covid pandemic while facilitating efforts to meet the significant needs of Mexican citizens in crisis.
