    Overview

    Council of the Americas, in coordination with the OAS Summits of the Americas Secretariat, will hold an event to give an early overview of the planning for the IX Summit of the Americas, which the United States will host in 2021.

    Following on the VIII Summit of the Americas hosted by Peru, the U.S. government has laid out three overarching areas of focus: economic growth and jobs, democracy and good governance, and transparency. This session will draw on the private sector paper on economic growth submitted for governments to consider at their first planning meeting.
