Contemporary artists will dialogue with Director and Chief Curator of Visual Arts Aimé Iglesias Lukin about their work and practice.
About the artist:
Gala Berger is a visual artist + independent curator living and thinking between San José, Costa Rica and Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has been a fellow in the RAW Académie CURA#6 (Dakar, 2019) with the mentorship of Koyo Kouoh;. She is co-founder of La Ene Museum (2010-2020) an experimental museum based in Buenos Aires, and Immigrant (2012) and Urgent (2014) spaces. Her works has been exhibited individually and collectively in: Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Argentina, Sweden, Peru, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, South Korea, Germany, Chile, Ecuador, United States, Puerto Rico, United Arab Emirates, among others. She is currently working in Casa Ma a feminist activist group in Costa Rica, dedicated to create cultural value around the work of womxn artists from Central America, the Caribbean and their diasporas.
