Overview

Join the AS/COA Cuba Working Group and Columbia University’s Cuba Program/ILAS in a conversation with two leaders who have been instrumental in the U.S.-Cuba normalization process: Ambassador Jeffrey DeLaurentis and Dr. Josefina Vidal Ferreiro. Ambassador DeLaurentis is the current chargé d'affaires in the U.S. Embassy in Havana and Dr. Vidal Ferreiro is the general director of U.S. affairs at Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both have been influential members of the continuing bilateral conversations between the United States and Cuba. We look forward to discussing the progress our two countries have made since the December 2014 rapprochement and what’s to come.

Speakers:

  • Ambassador Jeffrey DeLaurentis, Chargé D'Affaires, U.S. Embassy in Havana
  • Dr. Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, General Director of U.S. Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba
