Overview

As Donald Trump’s second term begins, key questions emerge about how a "Trump 2.0" administration will handle its relationship with Latin America. Already, the elements of his "America First" agenda—his push to control of the Panama Canal, his threats of tariffs on Mexico, and his rhetoric around migration—have heightened regional concerns. How will Latin America prepare to deal with a potentially more vocal and confrontational United States?

In Miami, Young Professionals of the Americas hosted an expert panel and a discussion on the impact and potential scenarios of Donald Trump's second presidency.
