She was elected “Innovative Leader” by Poder magazine in 2008, chosen within the “100 Leaders of the Colombian Society” by Gerente magazine in 2011, and the worthy winner of the Portafolio Award 2006 in the category of solidarity. Currently, she is a member of the Sovereign Order of Malta and an Ashoka Fellow 2011. Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos honored her with the Condecoración Orden Nacional al Mérito en Grado Cruz De Plata. In May 2012, she was chosen among the 25 women worldwide for the Fortune/US State Department Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership.
