YPA: A Conversation with Rappi’s Alejandro Freund

Join Young Professionals of the Americas for a conversation with Alejandro Freund, country manager of Rappi in Ecuador, one of the fastest-growing companies in the region. Freund will share insights on the startup ecosystem in Latin America, and what he learned on his own entrepreneurial journey as the co-founder of a leading e-commerce platform in Ecuador. As well as offer advice to aspiring entrepreneurs, he will also share insights on Rappi, discuss the platform’s unique model, and how it has addressed the challenges of COVID-19.

Alejandro holds a BA in business administration at the University of San Andrés and holds a Masters in economics and management of innovation and technology from Bocconi. After working in private banking for two years prior to grad school, Alejandro became a consummate entrepreneur, having co-founded businesses such as YaEsta.com, Polo in the Andes and OptimoFleet. He is currently the country manager for Rappi Ecuador.
