YPA NY Fashion Week 2015 Cafecito with Michele Levy, Melissa Shoes USA

Kick off New York Fashion Week 2015 with a Young Professionals of the Americas Cafecito with Michele Levy, CEO of Melissa Shoes USA at the brand’s NYC flagship in SoHo.

Learn about Michele Levy, a fashion entrepreneur whose extensive career and experience includes bringing a fashion forward Brazilian shoe brand to the United States to become an icon in the domestic accessories industry, earning design collaborations with the likes of Vivian Westwood and Jason Wu.

This event is part of YPA's Cafecito Series in New York City, which brings prominent leaders from various fields together with YPA members in a small, intimate setting.

Michele Levy is the CEO and co-founder of Melissa USA, which has exclusive distribution of Melissa Shoes in the United States and the Caribbean. Melissa retails today in the United States in more than 500 points of sale, including the most prestigious boutiques and department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Shopbop, Nordstrom, and many others. She previously worked at AS/COA, and prior to that, spent 10 years at Chase/JPMorgan in investment banking, capital markets, and project finance. Her last assignment was with the Chase Capital Partners/JPMorgan Partner private equity fund, where she was responsible for overseeing over $100MM in investments in Brazil, Mexico, and other countries in the region. A French-Brazilian national, Michele Levy has a degree in Economics from the Universidade de São Paulo (FEA) and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She lives in NYC with her husband Charles and their daughter Alexandra.
