Adriana Arai is managing editor for Latin America for Bloomberg News. Ms. Arai is also the chair of the Bloomberg LP Sao Paulo Office Committee, where she is responsible for news coverage from Bloomberg’s ten bureaus in the region and for leading a management committee in Sao Paulo, Bloomberg’s business hub for Latin America. Prior to her current role, she was Brazil bureau chief, Mexico bureau chief and a general assignment reporter in Mexico City. She joined Bloomberg News in 2004, after having worked in various editorial positions for Dow Jones Newswires in Sao Paulo, Brasilia, and London. She was also previously a reporter for Brazilian financial daily Gazeta Mercantil in Sao Paulo. Ms. Arai holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo.
