Alexander G. van Tienhoven is head of Wealth Management for Latin America and the Caribbean of UBS AG. In a career spanning nearly 28 years at Citibank NA and until March 2015, he was responsible for the Citi Private Bank, Citigold Private Client, Banamex Banca Privada & Patrimonial, Citigold International, and International Personal Banking's businesses in the region. Van Tienhoven was also responsible for the asset management, brokerage (Accival), retirement (Afore Banamex), insurance (Seguros Banamex), and trust businesses. He held a variety of positions at Citibank including president of Citi Private Bank Latin America and vice president and general manager (COO) of Citibank Portugal. Van Tienhoven is a member of the Board of Banco Finterra, a Director of the Americas Society/Council of the Americas, member of the Wharton School Latin America Executive Board, and Fundación Interamericana de la Libertad. He received a BSE from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and attended the Stanford University Business School Executive Program in 1999.
