Ambassador Teiji Hayashi
Ambassador Teiji Hayashi holds a bachelor of public law from Tokyo University and a master of arts in European studies from Universidad Politechnica de Madrid. Mr. Hayashi is currently the assistant minister in the Latin American and Caribbean Affairs Bureau office at the Foreign Ministry of Japan. He previously served as principal deputy assistant minister (Parliamentary affairs), deputy assistant minister (Economic Affairs Bureau and Latin American & Caribbean Affairs Bureau), Minister, Embassy of Japan in People's Republic of China, and many other senior leadership roles in Latin America. Mr. Hayashi Teiji joined the joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in 1988. He speaks Japanese, English, Spanish, French, and Intermediate Chinese.
