Arturo McFields
Arturo McFields (Nicaragua, 1976) is a journalist and a Nicaraguan diplomat.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism form the Jesuit’s Central American
University (1994-1998), has a Master’s Degree in International Relations
from the Seneca Institute in Spain and a Master's degree in Communication
at the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia, Spain.
Mr. McFields was a member of the Norwegian Peace Corps (FK) and was
the Ambassador of Nicaragua to the Organization of American States (OAS) until March of 2022, when he publicly broke with the government calling it a dictatorship and denouncing its human rights violations.
Ambassador McFields' articles are frequently published in The Washington
Post, El Economista of México, Infobae Argentina, La Prensa, Confidencial,
among other media outlets. He currently contributes for Oxford Analytica.
