Benigna Leiss is the general director for Chevron Energía de México since 2004 based in Houston, Texas. In this role, she has worked toward the opening of the hydrocarbon sector in Mexico, negotiating and signing Technical Collaboration Agreements with Pemex. She has been involved with the energy sectors for more than 25 years. Outside of the workplace, she is actively involved with the Center for Energy Economics, the University of Texas, and Junior Achievement, and has served on the board of several organizations. She is also a member of both the Hispanic and women’s employee networks at Chevron. Benigna Leiss received her bachelor of business administration degree from the School of Economics at the Universidad de Chile and her Master of Science degree in international economics from the University of Surrey in Guildford, England.
