Carlos de la Fuente is a managing director at The Abraaj Group. He is based in Mexico City as head of the Abraaj Performance Acceleration Group (APAG) in Latin America, focused on value creation for partner companies and responsible for the ESG function.  Before joining the Abraaj Group, Mr. de la Fuente was the strategic planning director for The Coca-Cola Company in Mexico.   Previously, he worked as Hotel Investments director for Grupo Posadas.  Mr. de la Fuente also worked as a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group developing projects on strategy, business development, sales and marketing, M&A, and operating efficiency. Additionally, he worked for Lehman Brothers in London in the Global Real Estate Finance Group and the Fixed Income Group. Mr. de la Fuente holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from ITESM in Mexico and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
