Carlos M. Gutierrez

Former U.S. Secretary of Commerce; Chairman, Republicans for Immigration Reform

Carlos M. Gutierrez is chairman of the Republicans for Immigration Reform super PAC and vice chairman of Albright Stonebridge Group. From 2005 to 2009, he served as the 35th U.S. Secretary of Commerce under President George H.W. Bush. In this position, Mr. Gutierrez managed a $6.5 billion budget, played a key role in the passage of the CAFTA-DR free trade agreement, and worked on U.S.-Cuba policy as co-chair of the U.S. Commission for Assistant to a Free Cuba. Previously, he served as vice chairman of the Institutional Clients Group at Citigroup, Inc.
