Carlos Prates is the general manager for Moody's Local in Brazil, and a senior advisor for the Relationship Management team of Moody's Investor Service in the country. He joined Moody's in 2021 after almost 30 years leading relationship management teams in the investment banking sector. In his current role, Carlos is the legal representative of Moody's Local and MIS in Brazil, and member of its Board of Director. He also manages the commercial and analytical team of Moody's Local in the country. Additionally, he is responsible for building and implementing the commercial strategy for MIS in Brazil. Carlos has a master's degree in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV, and an executive MBA in Finance from IBMEC Business Scholl. He is also a CFP charter holder since 2019.
