Carlos Vela-Treviño is a partner in Baker McKenzie's Telecommunications, Media and Technology practice group based in the Firm's Mexico City Office. Carlos's practice areas include regulatory and contractual aspects in the fields of communications and mobility, digital media, copyright, tech transactions and disputes, and privacy and cybersecurity. Carlos regularly advises clients from a broad cross-section of the digital landscape, including prominent social networks, leading online marketplaces, mobility platforms, premier cloud providers, data center operators, and other highly innovative companies in the fields of fintech, healthtech, modern workforce applications, connected vehicles, machine learning, and digital supply chains.  Carlos holds an LLM in Communication and Information Technology Law from the University of Oslo and is an IAPP-Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
