Carlos Vives
Carlos Vives is one of the most important figures of Latin music and is known as the pioneer of the Colombian and Latin American sound. Singer, songwriter, actor and entrepreneur, Vives is recognized and acclaimed for merging traditional vallenato with pop and rock elements and expanding the genre to an international audience. He’s sold millions of albums, has toured worldwide, has won numerous Grammys and is recognized as the greatest exponent of Colombian music with hit songs such as “La gota fría,” “La tierra del olvido,” “Fruta fresca,” “Volví a nacer,” “La bicicleta,” “Robarte un beso,” and many more. In parallel, Vives leads the initiative Tras La Perla which seeks to achieve sustainable development and quality of life improvement in his native Santa Marta, Colombia.
