Chris Michel is the head of diversity & inclusion for the Americas at Bloomberg in New York.  Most recently, Michel served as the first Chief Diversity Officer in the 200-year history of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., one of the United States’ oldest and largest private banks. In that capacity, Michel was responsible for developing and implementing global strategies to grow the bank’s cultural competency and led efforts to attract and retain employees across the full spectrum of diversity and built the firm’s external profile as a leader in diversity and inclusion efforts. Over the course of his career, Michel has held several senior-level diversity and HR roles, and has been responsible for initiatives and programs in more than 60 countries around the world.
