David Cuervo
David Cuervo is a Mercer executive for the Latin America & Caribbean Region, where he is responsible for new business in Sustainability and ESG solutions, Pensions, Quant Consultancy and advisory in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) for public and private clients.
He also serves as managing director for Mercer in Peru. David has over 18 years of experience with solid knowledge in business strategy development, product and service creation, market development, and new business ventures; through excellent customer service, high-level relationship building, and experience in implementing organizational transformation programs. Experience in consulting, negotiation, mergers & acquisitions, and consolidation of human resources programs, specifically in benefit plans (insured and uninsured), mobility, and total compensation. David has held various leadership positions at Mercer and was also Vice President of Human Resources at Banco Compartir S.A., where he led the conversion process to a Bank for more than 1,800 employees of the organization, and structured the organizational development, compensation and benefits, sales force incentives and executive levels, labor relations with unions, and other Human Resources topics. He has also provided advice to public entities in the region on issues related to the pension system, retirement benefits, and pension schemes such as the Superintendency of Banks, Insurance and AFP of Peru, the Panama Canal, special pension systems in Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, among others.
