Edwin Quintanilla Acosta is the Vice Minister of Energy and Mines of Peru. Before his current appointment, Quintanilla was the general manager of the Organismo Supervisor de la Inversión en Energía y Minería (OSINERGMIN) from June 2003 to December 2012. He has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector and has dedicated much of his career to the regulation and supervision of the industry. Quintanilla earned his degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master’s degree in Administration, and a PhD in Management Sciences. He has also been a postgraduate professor and the director of the Masters program in the department of Energy Management at the Universidad ESAN.
