Elizabeth Llorente
Elizabeth Llorente is the politics editor and senior reporter for Fox News Latino. She also writes stories on a variety of issues for the website, in particular immigration, a topic in which her expertise has garnered nationwide acclaim. Throughout her journalistic career, Llorente has profiled dozens of ethnic communities, put a human face on complex issues through powerful narratives, and exposed abuse and corruption that have generated reforms at both the state and national levels. In 2003, the Annenberg Institute of the University of Southern California named her one of the country’s top five race and ethnicity writers, and made her an Expert Fellow. Llorente has authored widely circulated tips on reporting about race and is a regular visiting lecturer at such institutions as Columbia University, the Poynter Institute, Rutgers University, and Baruch College in Manhattan. She has also spoken at Harvard, Lehman College, and Princeton University. Llorente was featured as the keynote commencement speaker at her alma mater, the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
