Emily Steel
US Media and Marketing Correspondent, Financial Times
Emily Steel is the U.S. media and marketing correspondent for the Financial Times. Before joining the Financial Times in 2012, she worked as a social media editor and a reporter at the Wall Street Journal. Ms. Steel has also previously reported for the St. Petersburg Times and the Shanghai Daily. She was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Explanatory Reporting, and she was awarded the Society of Professional Journalist’s Sigma Delta Chi Public Service Award as well as a Gerald Loeb Award for Online Enterprise. She holds a degree in journalism and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
