Enrique Bolaños

President, INCAE Business School

Enrique Bolaños is the president of INCAE Business School, a position he has held since 2015. During his presidency, Enrique's focus has been to guarantee academic excellence, positioning INCAE as one of the best business schools in Latin America. He has led significant initiatives with the institute's impact centers, focused on social progress, entrepreneurship, and inclusive leadership, among others.

As a sign of its interest in continuous innovation, from 2020 to date, programs such as the Master in Analytics, Innovation and Technology, the Master in Agribusiness in alliance with Zamorano, and online executive programs have been launched. At the beginning of 2022 the first MBA Online was launched, and in 2023 INCAE officially establishes another headquarters in Panama, strategically positioning the institute.

Likewise, under his leadership, relationships have been strengthened with some of the most prestigious business schools in the United States: Yale, Michigan, University of Virginia and Babson College.

Enrique has more than 30 years of international career. He has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan and obtained a Master of Business Administration from INCAE Business School. Before his time at INCAE, Enrique spent more than 30 years of his international career living in the United States, Mexico, and Colombia. He was also CEO of Flexsys in Brussels, Belgium. He successfully led the company through a difficult business climate and turned it into the leading company in the rubber additives industry. He holds an industrial engineering degree from the University of Michigan (1972) and an MBA from INCAE Business School (1974).

Enrique is married to Lourdes Chamorro César, has five children and eight grandchildren.
