Felipe Matos
Felipe Matos is the chief operating officer of Startup Brasil, a project established by the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation aimed to support digital start-ups in Brazil. He is also the founder of Startup Farm, the largest digital accelerator in Latin America in terms of numbers. He began his career as an entrepreneur at the age of sixteen, when he founded the first website for mobile phones in Latin America, Girando WAP. He has been a chief executive officer, investor, and mentor of hundreds of start-ups in Brazil and Silicon Valley. He also founded Instituto Inovação (Innovation Institute), a business group dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in Brazil through his consulting firm and management of venture capital funds, Inventta and Inseed Investimentos respectively, and participated in the foundation of Criatec Fund, the largest seed capital fund in Brazil.
