Fernando Iraola
In December 2018, Fernando Iraola was appointed co-head of Global Corporates Sales Global Transaction Services (GTS). Alongside his colleague, Matthew Davies, he leads the origination, sales and delivery of the firm’s transaction services solutions to global corporate clients across the United States, LATAM and EMEA.
Mr. Iraola joined the firm in July 2014 as managing director and head of Latin America Corporate Banking (CBK) positioned that he held until December 2019. In December 2015, his responsibilities were expanded to also lead the Global Transaction Services (GTS) franchise in the region, responsibility that he still holds.
He is a member of the Global Transaction Services Executive Committee and the Latin America Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Hispanic Latino Executive Council at the firm.
Based in New York, Mr. Iraola was responsible for taking the Latin America CBK franchise to a new level of responsible growth with a focus on multi-product client relationships at both the parent and subsidiary level.
As head of GTS in Latin America, Mr. Iraola is responsible for developing and executing an integrated strategy for the full end-to-end regional transaction services business, including: treasury and trade sales, treasury product solutions, trade and supply chain finance and product innovation, development and management.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Mr. Iraola spent 20 years at Citigroup where he held a number of senior management positions, including: head of Latin America Treasury and Trade Solutions; head of Latin America Global Transaction Services; head of Western, Central & Eastern Europe Global Subsidiaries Corporate Banking; head of CIS and CEE Global Subsidiaries Corporate Banking. Over the course of his professional career he has lived and worked in Argentina, South Africa, Hungary, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
Mr. Iraola serves in the Board of Directors of Latin America Agribusiness Development Corporation (LAAD). He is originally from Argentina, married with four children.
