Fernando Turner Dávila
Fernando Turner Dávila is secretary of economy and labor of the state government of Nuevo León. Prior to this position, he was chairman of the board and CEO at Katcon, S.A from 2009 to 2015. Turner was elected president of the National Association of Independent Businessmen, A.C. from 2006 to 2015. He was appointed as minister of economy in the probable presidential cabinet of the Movimiento Progresista in 2012. Turner was chairman and CEO at Bienes Turgón and Food Solutions from 1983 to 2009. Prior to this, he was the corporate treasurer at Grupo Industrial Alfa in Monterrey and at Altos Hornos de México from 1966 to 1976. Turner was a professor at the Graduate School of Business at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), is a patron at Fundación RENACE, A.C., and a guest columnist at El Norte newspaper. He received a CPA from ITESM and an MA in public administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
