Francesca L. Odell is a partner based in Cleary Gottlieb’s New York office. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity transactions, and other financing transactions (including capital markets, restructurings, and project finance). Odell’s practice is primarily cross-border, focusing on Latin America, and particularly Brazil. She has advised on debt and equity offerings by numerous Latin American issuers, and she regularly advises Petrobras on a variety of matters. Her work has earned praise from Chambers Global, Chambers Latin America, Chambers Global, IFLR 1000, and The Legal 500 Latin America. Odell joined the firm in 1996 and became a partner in 2005. She received a JD from the New York University School of Law and a BA from the University of Wisconsin.
